KYC
CashOver requires KYC (Know Your Customer) verification for all merchants to comply with local regulations in Lebanon, maintain financial transparency, and ensure the security of transactions across our network. Completing KYC is essential to unlock full access to platform features including payments, withdrawals, and store visibility.
KYC Options for Merchants
There are two available routes for KYC verification depending on the nature of your business:
Route 1: Registered Business
If your business is officially registered in Lebanon, you must submit the following information:
- Official business name (as registered)
- Commercial registration number
- Business phone number
- Full business address
- A scanned copy or photo of the official business registration certificate

Once submitted, our compliance team will verify your registration details and notify you of your KYC status via the app.
Route 2: Individual / Unregistered Business
If your business is not officially registered, you may proceed using the individual KYC process. This route is available for merchants operating informally or independently.
Required details include:
- Full legal name (First, Middle, Last)
- National ID number or Passport number
- Personal phone number
- Current residential address
- A clear photo of your official ID (Passport or Lebanese ID)
- A selfie image for identity confirmation
⚠️ Individuals opting for this route will be reviewed under standard personal verification criteria and must ensure that the information provided is personal, accurate, and up to date.
How to Submit Your KYC
- Open the CashOver Merchant App or access it online
- Go to Settings → KYC & Verification
- Choose your preferred route: Business or Individual
- Fill in the required details
- Upload the necessary documents
- Submit the request
Once submitted, your KYC status will be displayed under your profile section. You will be notified of any updates or required changes.
Submission Statuses
Status | Description |
---|---|
incomplete | Submission started but not completed. |
awaitingReview | Submitted and waiting to enter the review queue. |
underReview | Our compliance team is actively reviewing your data. |
verified | Your KYC is approved and your account is fully activated. |
expired | The submission has become outdated or invalid. |
rejected | Submission was denied. You can submit again after correcting issues. |

Processing Time
KYC requests are typically reviewed within 3 business days. If additional documentation or checks are needed, the process may take longer. You will be notified promptly in such cases.
Data Privacy & Security
Your information is stored securely and handled with strict confidentiality. CashOver guarantees:
- Your data will never be sold or misused
- Shared only with legal authorities or compliance bodies when required by law
- Encrypted storage of sensitive documents and media (ID, selfie, registration papers)
Legal Compliance
CashOver operates under Lebanese financial compliance standards. Merchants are legally obligated to provide truthful and valid KYC information.
Submitting false or manipulated documents may result in:
- Permanent suspension of your account
- Legal action under Lebanese law
- Blacklisting from all CashOver services
